On 1st February all the students of Institut lâOlivera went to Les Borgues Blanques to see a play called Hitchcock. The play is a comedy musical and it was performed by the theatre company IPA Productions.
The play is set in a film studio. The famous producer Louis Beymeyer has had some box office flops recently and he needs a film that will be a success. So he hires movie stars Casey Grunt and Grice Keeley. But he doesnât have a director, so he hires Hitch, the errand boy.
Hitch has different ideas for the new film and the actors play different scenes. They play Birds, a film where a flock of birds attacks people in a town. Actors donât like this idea so they reject it. After, they perform a film called The Rope, where two college students murder a friend and hide the body in a trunk while they are in a party. They donât like this film either.
Hitch has another idea, Rear Window. A photographer has had an accident and he is in a wheelchair. The photographer looks through the window of his house and one day he witnesses a murder. But again the actors donât like the film. The final idea is Psycho. A woman is murdered in a shower by Normam, who has a split personality.
Our students have enjoyed the played very much. Now, they know a bit more about Alfred Hitchcock and some of his famous films.
